a) The economy develops because they have the opportunity to import products and make international trade deals to export, that opens barriers, from migration to having access new content on the media.
b) People being exposed to different cultures, mainly the American through social networks, the media and even products etc lose their own traditions and by receiving so many imported things they do not consume their own domestically produced goods

2. Do you think globalization is a reversible process? Yes, No? Justify your answer.
Honestly I don't think so, we are too far gone to come back now especially with the internet everything has been magnified. Companies are making tremendous profits of off cheap labor in developing countries where they can exploit underpayed workers so I don't think they'd be willing to cut back and go back to another business plan, also the people working in those factories depend on those jobs even if the conditions are deplorable.
The mesh of cultures is also evident in mainstream media where movies, shows and books portray the lives of a diverse society making us more open minded, also with social media and all the sharing that goes on in there i'd be impossible to untagle ourselves from the globalized reality in which we live in now.
And the damage that's been done to the environment thanks to the mass production, I don't think we could ever reverse that.
I totally agree on the cultural part of the globalization process, new culture and new people can end up replacing the existent culture.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, globalization has brought with it good things, especially its technological advances, but the damage that has been done to the environment and to the people that this trade between countries excludes is too great, that is when the resources that are exchanged are used in a bad way.
