When the pandemic happened I was just in my first semester in college and we had to attend to classes online from our homes.
So I think that without globalisation that would of been really difficult, because without the technology that made it possible to have apps like teams, zoom or classroom to name some, it would of been very difficult for us to get together in a virtual class with our teachers and continue learning.
We had to use a lot of PDFs, and research books online and watch videos and the fact that they're available from all parts of the world with the internet is amazing.
Also I spent more time online watching movies and series, and it was nice to have access to so many options because let's face it, Mexico doesn't have the finest movies.
Also with the pandemic and thanks to the informational globalisation we had access to what the experts in other countries were saying and the discoveries they were making each day, news outlets were broadcasting 24/7 with statistics and recommendations so it was nice, even tho at times overwhelming, to have so much information so that we could be prepared.
And with cultural globalisation, this didn't happen to me exactly but with all the different information, ideas and perspectives flooding social media it's really easy to lose sight of your own, for example I have a cousin that in the pandemic met her boyfriend through an international dating app and now she's converted to his religion and is a Muslim now, I'm not saying that religion is bad but I know she was very influenced by her boyfriend and the things she read online.
In addition, I think the job opportunities that I have are really related to how many international companies have settled here.
